Meet the Founders
In 2012, while sitting on a beach in Maine, Lisa Natoli and Bill Free, both dedicated teachers of A Course in Miracles, envisioned what would become the Center for Awakening (CFA). Their conversation sparked the idea to help people move beyond intellectual understanding to a direct experience of spiritual awakening. Over the next decade, as their own spiritual journeys deepened, they integrated nondual teachings such as Advaita Vedanta alongside A Course in Miracles. This evolution led to the transformation of the Teachers of God Foundation into the Center for Awakening in 2023. CFA now focuses on fostering global awakening and conscious living, offering teachings that inspire individuals to connect with their true nature and experience lasting peace. Bill and Lisa’s vision continues to evolve as CFA supports a community dedicated to living from the heart, encouraging others to embrace their spiritual path and awaken to their true selves.
